    In the era of unstoppable IT development, the use of various information systems is an essential requirement for all enterprises. In particular, micro-enterprises are in a difficult position since they need continuous development to remain competitive with the possible help of information systems. At the same time, these enterprises that employ only a few people cannot afford to implement expensive software applications. Analysing the use of information systems among microenterprises is very important as they typically form the majority of enterprises, having a significant influence on the economic situation of each country.     Commercial strain-derived clinical Saccharomyces cerevisiae can evolve new phenotypes without higher pathogenicity

    Scope: Saccharomyces cerevisiae is one of the most important microbes in food industry, but there is growing evidence on its potential pathogenicity as well. Its status as a member of human mycobiome is still not fully understood.Methods and results: In this study, we characterise clinical S. cerevisiae isolates from Hungarian hospitals along with commercial baking and probiotic strains, and determine their phenotypic parameters, virulence factors, interactions with human macrophages, and pathogenicity. Four of the clinical isolates could be traced back to commercial strains based on genetic fingerprinting. Our observations indicate that the commercial-derived clinical isolates have evolved new phenotypes and show similar, or in two cases, significantly decreased pathogenicity. Furthermore, immunological experiments revealed that the variability in human primary macrophage activation after co-incubation with yeasts is largely donor- and not isolate-dependent.Conclusion: Isolates in this study offer an interesting insight into the potential microevolution of probiotic and food strains in human hosts. These commensal yeasts display various changes in their phenotypes, indicating that the colonization of the host does not necessarily impose a selective pressure towards higher virulence/pathogenicity

    The aim of the thesis is to introduce the considerable personal and mental changes on which the weak and oppressed black mother figure went through and became a powerful, conscious and self-confident black woman without identity problems and her resolved purpose is to be free and equal to whites. The reason why I chose this theme is that I always loved those literary works which were written by black writers, especially by black women writers for their subject matters are on intimate terms with me because I am fascinated and at the same time horrified by the cruel and naked truths of their masterpieces. The rise of black women from double oppression and their desperate struggle for their rights and equality are praiseworthy and their virtues deserve to be mentioned. The chosen poems of Brooks, Evans and Angelou demonstrate the course of development of the female self and in my opinion these are the best verses to commemorate the painful past and celebrate and respect the new black women.egyetemiangol nyelv és irodalo

    Detection of bladder cancer from the urine using fluorescence in situ hybridization technique

    The authors report on their first experiences with the UroVysion fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) kit developed for the detection of bladder cancer. This new non-invasive diagnostic application of the FISH technique in the field of urology was elaborated to replace cystoscopy. The special urine examination method detects genetic alterations of the urothelial cells found in the urine, using fluorescent directlabeled DNA probes binding to the peri-centromeric regions of chromosomes 3, 7 and 17 as well as on the 9p21 locus. We aimed to evaluate the utility of UroVysion test in the light of the histological diagnosis. Urine samples from 43 bladder cancer patients and 12 patients with no or benign alterations were studied using a new application of FISH technique: the UroVysion reagent kit. The obtained FISH results were compared with the histological findings of the transurethral surgical resection specimens. The study rated the specificity and sensitivity of the technique 100% and 87%, respectively. Therefore, the technique could well fit into the diagnostic process of bladder carcinomas. Statistical analyses showed significant correlation between tumor progression and the severity of the genetic alterations detected by this FISH technique. Furthermore, positive correlation was found between tumor grade and the proportion of tumor cells showing genetic abnormality. The noninvasiveness, the robustness of evaluation and the high specificity/sensitivity are all in favor of this technique. The disadvantages are the higher costs of the technical background and the required future clinical studies to determine whether this technique can replace cystoscopy
